Rosa was born in 1985 in Bani, Dominican Republic.  A few years later she took a plane to New York City.  On that plane she had her first peanut butter sandwich, and knew then life would never be the same.  She spent the rest of her childhood in the city, running through fire hydrants in the summer and thinking twice about picking up yellow snow in the winter. She battled her hair for four years in high school, moved to Boston for college, and earned a double bachelor’s in History and English Literature.

Rosa has been a museum intern in New York City, a caretaker of disadvantaged kids in San Diego, and an attorney’s sidekick in Massachusetts.  These days she is happy to be a stay at home mom in Jacksonville, killing house plants, botching sewing projects, and making everyone fat with her baking. Additionally, she dreams of writing children’s books, getting a job she doesn’t have to interview for, and paying off her student loans.

Rosa lives in Jacksonville with her boyfriend Seth, her daughter Penelope, and their weird dog, Banjo.
